Do You Have a “High” or “Low" Vibration?
What It Actually Means to Raise Your Vibrational Energy - Plus 4 Ways to Do It
“As you think, you vibrate. As you vibrate, you attract.”
The time has come for us to raise our vibrational forces!
If your first inclination upon hearing the phrase “vibrational forces” is to associate it with a mediative practice related to spirituality, well…you’re on the right track, but think way less woo-woo. The practice—which indeed does have a connection to the wellness world and cultivating a healthy mind—is rooted in physics. Einstein taught us that everything is energy. Because everything is made up of energy, every person, place, and thing vibrates at a different frequency.
At your very core, you are made of energy. So is everyone and everything else in the universe. Energy is the common denominator of all things, the thread that connects all that exists. Our thoughts and emotions are energy, as are the foods we eat, the music we listen to, shows we watch, hugs we give, and words we exchange.
When you understand how things affect you energetically, you can make better choices each day - from what you eat and drink, to how you spend your time, to how you interact with other people. All these choices add up energetically.
So how can you shift into a more positive vibration?
The best way to attract positive energy and vibrate higher is by sending out positive energy more and more. This is where the power of language can be super-powerful.
I’m always challenging my coaching clients to be super aware of the words they chose, which brings us to the first shift:
# BE AWARE.
Become aware of how you speak and how your words make you feel. What’s the one word you can stop saying today that sends out a low vibration? What word can you use instead that shifts your mind and body into something that feels good?
I CAN’T. I SHOULDN’T. I’M NOT GOOD ENOUGH. THESE ARE ALL LOW VIBRATIONAL WORDS…
I CAN. I WILL. I AM READY…. THESE ARE ALL HIGH VIBRATIONAL WORDS.
# SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVITY.
Having positive things around you affects how you feel. Start by sticking a post-it note with your favorite affirmation or positive word on your computer or at your desk to remind you to be positive. It might be ‘I am calm!’ , ‘I am in charge!’ or ‘I am courageous’. Seeing is believing.
# END THE DAY WITH GRATITUDE.
This has hands down been a game-changer for me. At the end of the day, I either write or mentally or verbally express 3 things I’m grateful for. This helps to train yourself to see the good in your life.
# FEEL INTO YOUR FUTURE SELF NOW.
What you think about, you become, and each thought you think creates your future.
Imagine or feel what it would be like NOW to have what you desire the most
If the thoughts you think are pessimistic, overly anxious, or in any way negative, you will likely find what you are looking for. Just as gratitude draws more of the same into your life, so too does impatience, jealousy, and unworthiness. This negative energy can leave you feeling heavy and burdened. Be diligent about what thoughts you give your attention to since it can take only 17 seconds for a thought to attract another one like it. Push away negative energy and choose positive thoughts, for they are the key to positive change.
